There are things in life that we can control and things in life that we can’t control.  Forgetting this is the definition of madness.  I’ve discovered today that trying to escape New York during winter break with a monstrous storm on the way is a great way to test this theory.  There is no shortage of opportunities to learn this lesson.   At work.  At home.  In life.  And yet we forget…

Regardless of your religious beliefs or circumstances, there is great wisdom to be found in the serenity prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Unless you prefer the descent into madness?
